Fredrick Hull graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelors Degree in Economics (1998) with an emphasis in Law, and a Masters Degree in Economics (2000). In 2003 he graduated from the University of Oklahoma School of Law.

Criminal Law Experience

Fredrick Hull’s focus is criminal law. He began his career as an Assistant Criminal District Attorney, prosecuting all types of crimes in the state of Texas. His first position was at the Van Zandt Criminal District Attorney’s Office in Canton, Texas. For nearly two years, Fredrick served the citizens of Van Zandt County by prosecuting criminal cases ranging from DWI to murder. During his time in Van Zandt County, he experienced high levels of success as a trial attorney and was promoted to First Assistant within office. While there, he was solely responsible for the prosecution of all Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) cases. Fredrick Hull personally handled close to 100 DWI cases during this time and had a 99% DWI conviction rate.

Gaining Valuable DWI Trial Knowledge

These impressive results landed Fredrick a job at the Collin County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in McKinney. It didn’t take long for his skills to be noticed. Fredrick was promoted to Court Chief where his focus was Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) cases. Constantly dealing with DWI cases allowed his skills to rapidly progress, as he personally oversaw the prosecution of hundreds of DWI cases. Soon he was given the responsibility of training other prosecutors on how to successfully obtain DWI convictions and evaluate DWI criminal cases.

The Collin County District Attorney’s Office was not the only prosecution office impressed by Fredrick Hull. He was offered a job at the most respected Criminal District Attorney’s Offices in the state of Texas. Fredrick took his experience and skills to the Tarrant County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in Fort Worth in 2006. This opportunity allowed him to work under and learn from one of the nation’s leading DWI prosecutors. For two years, Mr. Hull was trained by and reported directly to the premier DWI prosecutor in the state of Texas. This man has written books that are disseminated to all prosecutors in Texas and speaks frequently around the country on DWI prosecution. His publications and resources can be viewed on the Texas District and County Attorneys Association’s website.

Fredrick Hull spent over six years as a prosecutor working to put criminals in Texas prisons. He attended multiple trial skills seminars and schools presented by the Texas District and County Attorneys Association, some of which are available only to prosecutors. They included but are not limited to the Texas Homicide Symposium, TDCAA Trial Skills Seminar, TDCAA Advanced Trial Skills Seminar, and countless hours of DWI education courses. In addition, he has personally trained prosecutors and police officers on how to testify in DWI jury trials. But the true measure of Mr. Hull’s ability comes not from schools or seminars. It comes from the thousands of hours spent in courtrooms, in front of juries, conducting trials.

DWI Expertise Helping Clients

In January of 2010, Fredrick Hull left the District Attorney’s Office and began practicing as a criminal defense attorney.

Since this time, Fredrick Hull has garnered a 90% success rate in having his client’s DWI charges either dismissed or found not guilty by a jury.

Invaluable experience, knowledge, skills, and education separates Fredrick Hull from other DWI defense attorneys. Experience and exposure to various DWI situations has afforded Fredrick the ability to distinguish between the practices of law in rural east Texas, conservative north Dallas/Collin County, and the big cities of Fort Worth and Dallas.

Fredrick Hull offers his clients skilled DWI defense. He has the education, knowledge, and vast experience in:

  • Cross-examination of expert DWI witnesses
  • Cross-examination of DWI blood test experts
  • Cross-examination of DWI breath test experts
  • DWI field sobriety testing procedures
  • DWI chemical testing procedures

Fredrick Hull will first look at a DWI case through the eyes of a state criminal prosecutor. After evaluating all the strengths and weaknesses of the case, he will then take the case apart piece by piece.

Fredrick Hull knows how to win a DWI case. He also understands the impact a DWI conviction can have on someone’s future. Most importantly, he knows the various factors that can cause even the most talented criminal prosecutors to “lose” a jury trial. A very small percentage of all criminal defense lawyers in Texas offer this advantage to their clients.

If you are charged with a crime, do you want your future in the hands of just any criminal defense attorney? Or would you rather hire someone with the knowledge, skills, and background who knows firsthand how the game is played and won?
